Mussá (To lunch)
You must have realized that the accent from Minas Gerais is famous in Brazil for its unique way of talking. They say that Minas has practically its own dialect, which is not totally a lie. We have the habit of cutting the beginning or the end of words or even splicing one word to another. But what does this have to do with this experience? So, “mussá” comes from the word “Almoçar” (to lunch). Like: “Come mussá son, or the food will get cold … got it? This affectionate tone, full of flavor, made the couple Nina and Gustavo prepare a delicious home-cooked meal on their farm.
Those who come to have lunch with them will taste the authentic food from Minas Gerais prepared with the seasonal ingredients harvested in the garden and prepared in the wood stove on the veranda of the house. You have to see it to understand. Nina and Gustavo stand out for the creative way they prepare their dishes. The specialty of the place are dishes using typical meats from the Minas Gerais cuisine, accompanied by PANCS. The garden is their supermarket, the salads are from their backyard! All this with local beer and cachaça!
